Tanzania Socio – Economic, Health and Environmental Development “TASHED” is a national based not-for-profit non-governmental organization. Registered in April 2022, TASHED is a humanitarian, development, community-centered and advocacy organization, edicated to contributing to identifying and addressing underlying gaps and challenges that hinder greater outcomes in health, environment and development, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) TASHED works closely with key decision makers within the government machinery and members of the community to catalyze and stimulate aspects of development, critical for improvement of environment and health of community members. Prior to its official registration in 2022, TASHED humanitarian operations in Tanzania began in 2020 with community outreach services targeting in-school youth and adolescents with strategically tailored interventions designed to support young people to reach their full potential by tackling causes of poverty and health-related challenges.

challenges pertaining in the community through compassionate
and volunteering activities in order to achieve a better sustainable
future.
Complementing the efforts of the government and other stakeholders, TASHED
has operations at both national and sub-national level, responding to the complex
and specific needs of the community’s ecosystem through provision of
education, health services and innovative income generating activities, to not
only boost basic livelihood but to further enhance best practices such as that of
health seeking behavior.
Over the period of 2 years, TASHED has effectively managed voluntary
programs cutting across sexual and reproductive health among youth and
adolescents, nutrition among children under 5, gender, sanitation and hygiene.
Similarly, TASHED presents extensive capacity in the application of Human
Centered Design and has contributed to create a mass of CSOs advocates
through the use of SMART advocacy approach.
